How to verify breeders

Before buying, check:

• Breeder profile — how many listings, since when active, verification badge.
• Ratings and reviews — rating above 4.5? Read comments, not just star count.
• Real photos — photos should show specific animal, not stock.
• Location — PL breeder with visit option gives more safety.

Red flags — how to spot a scam

• Price significantly below market (50% cheaper than rest).
• Breeder refuses video call with animal.
• No lineage, morph, or hatch date info.
• Requires 100% prepayment without ownership transfer.
• Freshly created account without history.

Rating system

After each transaction both parties can give 1-5 star rating + comment. Ratings are public and irreversible (14-day edit window).

Ownership transfer

ReptiMarket maintains a registry of animal ownership transfers. After transaction the breeder transfers ownership to your account — this documents the breeding chain history.

Payments

We recommend in-person payments (local pickup) or trusted gateways (BLIK, COD bank transfer). ReptiMarket is NOT a payment intermediary.
